Finally a summer evening to welcome the 102 couples who last night – Wednesday – participated in the first edition of BeccaNight, the new event that opened the 2024 edition of the Aosta-Becca di Nona. A lot of curiosity around the 7-kilometer evening vertical race (departure from Plan Félinaz in Charvensod), along the "102" path that leads to the Hermitage of San Grato, where many fans waited for the arrival of the competitors.
The winners were "I reperibili della notte" by Salvatore Galvano and Andrea Visinoni, the only team to stay under the hour of the race. They finished in 59'23", going ahead of "Giago&Will", an Italian-French duo formed by Matteo Marchiando and Jean Verdenal Jocelyn (1 hour 01'40") and the two Valle d'Aosta Giuliano Cavallo and Simone Truc ("I sempre giovani") at the finish line in 1 hour 06'03".
In the women's field, the top step of the podium for "Le Skialper", formed by the promises of ski mountaineering Noemi Junod and Clizia Vallet, twenty-first overall in 1 hour 15'14". Behind them the team "Studio Iavelli" of the Piedmontese Marika Sette and Francesca Blengino (1 hour 17'11") and "The blonde and the brunette" of the Aosta Valley Marina Ferrandoz and Federica Teppex (1 hour 20'01").
In the mixed medley, success for "Glo&Max" by Gloriana Pellissier and Massimo Junod (1 hour 07'50"), ahead of "Les Avengers" by Clément Déanoz and Héloise Blanchard (1 hour 10'52") and "Gianatti-Giglio" by Matteo Giglio and Alessandra Gianatti (1 hour 11'25").
Today – Thursday – the Sports Festival is scheduled at the BeccaVillage, a moment in which the Municipality of Charvensod will reward athletes and sports clubs in the area. The start is set at 6 pm; at 9 p.m. "Cinema under the stars", with the screening of the film "The Eight Mountains".
On Friday the second edition of the BeccaPink with over 1,000 women engaged in the non-competitive 5-kilometer walk, organized in collaboration with the V.I.O.L.A. Association. Departure at 7 pm from the Abbé Henry green area (Tsamberlet di Aosta) and arrival at the BeccaVillage, where the evening will continue with the concert of L'Orage.
On Saturday, obstacle courses and lots of fun for the little ones, engaged in the nice BeccaKids, waiting for Sunday, when the Aosta Becca di Nona and the Aosta-Comboé will start from Piazza Chanoux, with many athletes ready to measure themselves against the stopwatch and many others on the trails to enjoy an authentic party at high altitude. The start at 8.30 am from the center of Aosta, 15 minutes later it will be the turn of the participants of "La Montée des Gourmands", the non-competitive walk interspersed with a series of refreshments in the name of the Aosta Valley tradition.
