The Aosta-Becca di Nona, over time, has distinguished itself for its varied proposal, capable of attracting the interest of athletes who are looking for performance and those who prefer more relaxing rhythms. And so also in the next edition of the international event (17-21 July) La Montée des Gourmands cannot be missed, an excursion that combines sport, music, folklore and tasting of typical Valle d'Aosta products.
A little more than just a walk: 7.3 kilometres starting from the Chef-lieu locality of Charvensod to the enchanting Comboé valley, over 1,300 metres of positive elevation gain to overcome. No stopwatch to mark the rhythm, along the way a series of very special refreshments, for an itinerant tasting every 300 meters of elevation gain. A way to
rediscover your energy, discover the area and let yourself be overwhelmed by the flavors of Valle d'Aosta cuisine. From sweet to savory, from breakfast to hot dishes, without giving up the inevitable aperitif. A non-competitive walk with tasty stages, for a complete meal, organized in collaboration with Cofruits, synonymous with quality and zero-kilometer products.
There are six refreshments: it starts in Charvensod with breakfast (torcetti, shortbread and chocolate), continues in Bondine with a snack (apple and blueberry juice, jams, strawberries, tiles, yogurt and black bread), in Le Champex with the aperò potager (pickled vegetables and various types of vegetables, fresh cheeses), in Ponteille with the aperò de la boucherie (various cold cuts, honey). Then double point to Comboé, the first dedicated to cheeses, the second to polenta and sausage to close with dessert, all accompanied by Vallée d'Aoste DOC wines.
The Montée des Gourmands will take place on Sunday 21 July, on the same day as the Aosta-Becca di Nona. A maximum of 200 seats are available, registration of 30 euros (celebratory t-shirt included) which will open on May 15 on wedosport.net and at Gal Sport and Technosport stores.
Renzo Bionaz, president of Cofruits: «We are very happy to offer the good food of the Aosta Valley again this year and offer Gourmands delicious stops with the food and wine excellences of our territory. And then, as always, there will be the producer members of the cooperative to tell and enhance their products».
Sylvie Proment, ASD Becca di Nona 3142 board: «It is a very popular event, capable of involving a different audience than athletes looking for sporting performance.
With this formula, participants will have the opportunity to walk and enjoy the view, finding traditional products, music and a festive atmosphere along the way, in the true spirit of Aosta-Becca di Nona».
